The Dept is in need of laptop or all in one desktop donations to give to students in need who are working in online and hybrid courses. These laptops should be able to run Lightroom Classic and Photoshop programs. We can provide a letter for tax donations.

-Recommended SpecificationsProcessor (CPU): Intel Core i7 / AMD Ryzen 7 (or Apple M-series chips like M3/M4). Video and 3D apps benefit heavily from higher-end i9 or Ryzen 9 chips.
-Memory (RAM): 16GB is the baseline for light work, but 32GB is strongly recommended for heavy multitasking, 4K video editing, or After Effects.Graphics (GPU):
-A dedicated graphics card (such as an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050/4060 or Apple’s integrated multi-core GPU) with 4GB to 8GB+ of VRAM accelerates rendering and filters.
-Storage: 1TB NVMe Solid State Drive (SSD). SSDs are vital for fast file loading and scratch disks.Display: A high-resolution color-accurate screen (100% sRGB or DCI-P3 coverage)

San Francisco is creating a formal process to determine who qualifies as an artist, a new certification for residents hoping to live in the city’s first affordable housing development reserved specifically for that profession.

The program is part of Artists Hub on Market, a 93-unit, 100% affordable housing development at 1687 Market St., previously the site of a McRoskey Mattress showroom. The project, which broke ground July 28 as the first of its kind in San Francisco, is expected to open in 2028.
