Celebrating Our Largest Incoming Cohort Yet 🎉

The Department of Educational Leadership & Technology is thrilled to welcome our largest EdD cohort to date! Over 70 new scholar‑practitioners are beginning their journey this summer.

These students represent K–12, higher education, and industry and organizational leadership, bringing a powerful mix of experience, innovation, and purpose to our community. They will be learning together across four groups, including two cohorts in our first-ever accelerated 2‑year EdD pathway — a major milestone for the program.

Last night, all incoming students joined Tarleton State University Leadership, EDLT faculty and two students who recently completed their coursework for a virtual orientation. It was an energizing start as students met the peers and faculty who will walk alongside them over the next two (or more) years.

We’re excited to share the Zoom photo capturing the beginning of their journey — a community already forming, ready to lead with creativity, technology‑driven vision, and impact.

Here’s to the Summer 2026 EdD Cohort. The work starts now, and we couldn’t be more proud to support each of you. 💜📚

Celebrating the incredible SPLOT Cohort (Scholar Practitioner Leaders of Tomorrow) as they completed their final didactic course in the EdD in Educational Leadership program at Tarleton State University last week.

This online cohort has navigated demanding schedules, professional responsibilities, and personal commitments while staying deeply engaged in their learning and in one another. Their consistency and connection have been evident in every class session.

The screenshot may be missing a few students, but the spirit of this cohort captures exactly who SPLOT is: connected, determined, and ready for what comes next.

So proud of SPLOT ’23 and everything they’ve accomplished so far. Just as with Tenacious 23, some already celebrating completed dissertations, others deep in the work, all moving forward as scholar‑practitioner leaders.💜📚
