Everyone say, “Hi, Paul!” 👋

When Paul Broderick first came to Stony Brook 10 years ago, he was studying economics because it felt like the “right thing to do." He soon realized his heart wasn't in it and left to find his true purpose. After working as a middle school TA, Paul found his calling in teaching and returned to SBU to finish what he started.

Now an English education major, Paul’s dedicated to nurturing empathy and understanding in the classroom. When he isn’t in class, he’s writing his own children's books, playing the piano and contributing to ‘The Statesman.’ He loves exploring everything campus has to offer, and is even perfecting his skills at the Spanish Cafe to earn his bilingual certification.

Paul has fallen in love with education, and plans to continue his own academic career at Stony Brook by earning his master's and eventually his doctorate. He hopes to master the art of clearly communicating complex ideas to the next generation of students.
