Bronx Community College alumni are making their mark across the Bronx and beyond.
Two graduates were named finalists in the 2026 BX Factor Small Business Challenge, hosted during Bronx Week by the Bronx Overall Economic Development Corporation (BOEDC).
Oscar Martinez, co-founder of Wisdom of Age, earned the competition’s top prize with a luxury knitwear brand rooted in craftsmanship and culture. Yasiris Ortiz, founder and CEO of Spin & Learn was also recognized for delivering table tennis-based programming to more than 12,000 New York City students.
Their achievements highlight the impact of BCC graduates as innovators, entrepreneurs, and community leaders.
