The Confucius Institute invites the UT campus and Toledo community to celebrate the Chinese New Year with fun and educational activities Tuesday, Feb. 17, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Student Union Auditorium.

Celebrate the Chinese New Year Tuesday, Feb. 17, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Student Union Auditorium. Stop by to see performances of Chinese opera, tea art, and Chinese and Western instrumental ensembles. Shop at the Asian flea market, and learn how to make dumplings, Chinese bracelets and paper lanterns.

On 10/10/2014 (6:30-8:30), we will be hosting “ITS CHINA” a the Toledo Museum of Art. There will be musical performances, a Chinese wine tasting, tea tasting in the Cloisters, and a traditional dragon dance as well as offering classes in paper cutting, Beijing Opera mask painting, traditional Chinese games such as mahjong and go. There will be a focus on Chinese art in the museum. Come to join us!

Experience Chinese culture through art and activities, such as Chinese calligraphy, drawing a Beijing opera mask, sculpting dough figurines and much more on Saturday, September 27, 2014 from noon to 5 p.m. at The University of Toledo, Main Campus, Student Union Auditorium.
