We’re pleased to announce the appointment of Brian J. Nickerson, PhD, JD, MPA, FACHE, as Dean of the School of Health Sciences and Practice.

Dr. Nickerson brings more than 25 years of leadership experience in health sciences and public health education, with a strong track record in program growth, accreditation, and workforce‑focused innovation. His expertise and vision will play a key role in advancing SHSP’s mission and supporting student success.

Tracey Milligan, M.D., FAAN, and Sarah Parauda, M.D., were honored on April 20 with top neurology awards at the annual meeting of the American Academy of Neurology (AAN) in Chicago. Dr. Milligan, right, professor and chair of the Department of Neurology, was recognized with the A. B. Baker Award for Lifetime Achievement in Neurologic Education, the Academy’s highest honor in education. Dr. Parauda, left, assistant professor of neurology, was recognized with the A. B.
