Congratulations to Caleb Lechlitner and Cara Greiner for receiving the Dr. Roger E. Hunsley Top Individual and High Reasons Awards!

The Dr. Roger E. Hunsley Livestock Judging Student Award Fund was established in 2018 in an effort to support the Purdue Livestock Judging Team as well as to honor Purdue Judging Coach, Dr. Roger Hunsley. This endowment is used to give two financial awards to members of the livestock judging team each year - one to the member who places the highest at the national contest and the other to the member who places the highest in reasons at the national contest. For the 2025 season, Cara was top individual in reasons and Caleb was top individual on the team for the Boilermakers.

Thank you to all who continue to support this fund and our livestock judging program!

The All East Livestock Contest is a three-day, comprehensive livestock evaluation contest where students estimate carcass measurements and values, answer 90 questions on 48 breeding animals, and compete in a standard 12 class, eight set judging contest.

After evaluating 120 animals over three days, the Boilers returned home from Champaign with plenty of awards and even more good stories about the fellowship and friendships built with other schools.

Thank you to the University of Illinois for the time and effort put into hosting such a great contest!
