Purdue Engineering’s Design Expo and the School of Mechanical Engineering’s Malott Innovation Awards, hosted jointly at the Purdue Armory, featured more than 1,000 students contributing to nearly 180 projects, including 44 that were sponsored by industry partners. Additionally, more than 100 students from various Indiana high schools visited the expo for their Purdue campus trip. Engineering’s Design Expo is held annually to showcase student work including senior design, PMP capstone, EPICS, VIP and independent student projects.

We are pleased to share the dates for our upcoming Purdue Family Weekends and invite you to mark your calendar.

Fall Family Weekend: Oct. 16–18, 2026
Fall Family Weekend will coincide with Purdue’s football game against Washington on Oct. 16. Football ticket information will be shared mid- to late June.

Spring Family Weekend: April 16–18, 2027
Spring Family Weekend is held annually in alignment with Purdue’s Spring Fest, offering families opportunities to enjoy activities across campus, including a full day of indoor and outdoor events.

Additional details, including registration information and a full schedule of events, will be shared later this summer through the Parent and Family Connections Portal (https://purdue.campusesp.com/). Please continue to watch your inbox and the portal for updates.

The Purdue OWL held its first Mystery Dinner Party on April 22. Students worked in teams to search for clues on the first and second floors of Student Center. Together, they solved the mystery of the missing owls, received prize bags with OWL swag and enjoyed dinner from Panera Bread.

Student Innovation & Excellence Showcase highlights undergraduate research and projects --- Purdue students filled the Campus Center's fourth floor, presenting their high-impact educational learning projects to faculty, staff and their peers at the Innovation and Excellence Showcase on April 30.
