Congratulations to Officer Clark (Ayden Police Department) and Sgt. Hendricks (Beaufort Police Department, Beaufort N.C.) on their successful completion of the 40 hour IPMBA certification course last week, led by Law Enforcement Training Director Thomas Forrest!

Also, thank you to PCC Marketing for coming out and capturing photos of these officers as they completed their cone course.

This 40 hour course includes classroom lecture, skills testing, and group rides (including a night ride) to prepare them for the utilization of mountain bikes in their daily patrol functions.

We plan to hold our next IPMBA class in Spring 2027. For anyone interested in attending, please reach out to Director Forrest (Instructor) or Craig Cranford (Training Coordinator) for more information.

Today, cadets from our academy joined public safety partners across the region at the 25th Anniversary 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb at Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium, hosted by the ECU Police Department. At 8:46 a.m. — the exact moment the first tower was struck — participants climbed in honor of the 2,977 lives lost, including the 343 firefighters and 71 law enforcement officers who gave everything that day. We're proud of our cadets for standing alongside fellow first responders in remembrance, and we will never forget.
