Happy International Animation Day!

To celebrate, we’re spotlighting 2D Animation alumni Taylor Leslie’s piece, ‘A Little Too Personal’ 🤖💭

In Taylor’s own words, this animation explores the growing humanisation of large language models through a little kid with very big emotions.

It was made for an assignment asking students to imagine the future of animation, and it leaves us with a question that hits a little close to home: how personal are we willing to get with our technology?

We’re so proud to work with and teach such talented animators at Collarts, and we’re always blown away by what they create 🎨✨

Two of our students headed to The Design Conference in Brisbane earlier this year, and Tahu Stormer (designbyhu on IG) turned the experience into an animation from an extraterrestrial’s point of view 🛸
