As part of their pre-Cannes activities, International Film Business students enjoyed an enlightening Industry Day with an incredible line up of guests followed by networking drinks in the evening. 🥂✨
The morning featured a panel that explored the topic State of the Film Nation, moderated by Ameenah Ayub Allen and with guest speakers Mia Bays, Director of BFI National Lottery Filmmaking Fund, Anthony Andrews, Co-founder and Creative Director of We are Parable, Rachel Dargavel, Senior Production Executive at Element Pictures (MY FATHER'S SHADOW) and Tracy Brimm, Head of Film & Television and Creative Affairs at Casarotto & Ramsay Associates.
In the afternoon students immersed themselves in industry roundtables with guest panellists Jordan Allwood, Fund Manager, International Distribution, UK Global Screen Fund at BFI, Issy Macleod, Film Programmer at Picturehouse Cinemas, Mikaela Smith, Acting Senior Film Programmer of Independent Cinema Office, Ramon Romano, Business Affairs Executive of Vertigo Releasing, Jordan McGarry, Head of Talent Development and Production/Senior Creative Advisor at Film London, Ryan Ninesling, Programming Manager at MUBI (UK), Connie Farr, Music Supervisor at Think Sync Music (ALL OF US STRANGERS, ROCKS), Edward Fletcher, Producer/Film Distribution Expert; Chair (Acting) Film Cymru Wales, Emma Duffy, Indie Producer at Hwyl Films.
