LFS is the UK’s oldest film school, dedicated to the education of filmmakers. Based in Covent Garden, the envious alumni body spans the globe. It is a dynamic and intensive film environment that creates global networks for life and shapes the industry. London Film School runs five MA degree courses and a raft of short courses for over 300 full-time students from over 50 countries. In 2022 London Film School was awarded World-Leading Specialist Provider status by the Office for Students and in 2024 was named by The Hollywood Reporter as one of the top global film schools. London Film School is a non-profit educational charity.

🤩 We were delighted to celebrate Jade Guest and her grad film, Cool About It, at Tbilisi International Film Festival. Jade scooped the award for Best Director – congratulations!

Chris, our CEO, was on the jury and led a masterclass for students titled: From Bertolucci and Cronenberg, to Pawlikowski and Winterbottom… Some possible lessons for young film makers from a life in the movie business. 🎥 🤝

✨ A moment to appreciate the beauty of Kintsugi.

Shot on 16mm using Kodak 250D, 500T and Double-X film, Kintsugi uses the distinctive qualities of analogue cinematography to explore the boundaries between imagination and reality, while paying homage to classic samurai cinema.

"After a sudden family relocation, Luis, a Samurai obsessed young boy, desires to prove himself to his older brother Andrés. Whilst their mother does her best to hide the truth behind their new living arrangements, the two brothers eventually must face the reality of their situation , forcing them to understand that not all issues can be solved in a sword fight."

🎥 Last week MA in Film Marketing students attended the BFI London Film Festival screening of Danny Boyle’s Ink, starring Jack O’Connell, Guy Pearce and Claire Foy.

This marks the start of a live case study. 📂 Between now and the film’s worldwide release, students will analyse how Ink moves from festival premiere to global audience, from positioning and publicity to distribution strategy and audience response.

🎬 From genre-bending cinema to building industry connections!

MA Film Producing and MA Film Marketing students have been immersing themselves in the world of film, from exploring bold new cinema to learning how to develop their professional networks.

🍿 Students enjoyed an exclusive preview screening of STUFFED, followed by a Q&A with producers Sam Ritzenberg and Dimitra Tsingou. Premiering at this year’s Toronto International Film Festival, the British musical body horror romance stars Jodie Comer and Harry Melling.

🤝 Students also welcomed prolific writer, script editor and stand-up comedian Amanda Graham for an insightful session on networking as part of the programmes’ professional development strand.

Thank you to Sam, Dimitra and Amanda for sharing their experience and insights with our students!
