Our Motor Vehicle courses give you the hands-on skills and technical knowledge needed for today’s fast moving automotive industry.

You will train in professional workshops using industry standard tools equipment while learning everything from diagnostics and mechanical systems to emerging electric vehicle (EV) technologies.

Our Level 3 Business vocational students raised money for their chosen charities by selling a range of products and services including cakes, desserts, games, and refreshments as part of their formally assessed coursework units.

Students used the entrepreneurial skills they’ve learnt in the classroom to raise as much money as possible!

What an incredible day our Motor vehicle students had at the Greenpower Croft Circuit, North Yorkshire!

They took on the electric Kit Car Challenge and absolutely delivered. After finishing 4th overall in practice, they went on to claim 1st in their class before battling hard through the endurance race to finish 4th in their class and 7th overall.

The determination, teamwork, and skill on show was something special - we couldn't be prouder of every single one of them. Watch out for them next time!

Many thanks to our Learning and Development team for organising and delivering a range of practical, action-based sessions across our campuses during Mental Health Awareness Week.

From Ikebana and Cyanotype to Fostering Psychologically Safe Teams, as well as sessions like Coffee, Culture and Chat, staff took time out to learn new skills in a supportive environment.

We’ve received some wonderful feedback from colleagues, who found the sessions enjoyable and valuable - leaving with a renewed sense of focus, fresh ideas to put into practice, and an important reminder to prioritise balance and wellbeing. Wishing all staff across Newham College London a restful and well-deserved half term break.

Culture Day 2026

Take a glimpse at our students coming together to celebrate at our recent Culture Day.

Our campuses came alive with vibrant traditional dress, country flags, and energy!

Students took to the stage and photobooths to highlight their heritage by competing in ‘Best Dressed’ competitions. Beyond the celebrations, the events created space for meaningful conversations about languages, clothing, and music - reinforcing a powerful message: our cultural diversity is our strength.
