From 16th – 20th September 2026, Imperial White City Campus is bringing the cinema outdoors. White City Outdoor Cinema will be located on Perkin’s Green, North Campus for five days of free outdoor screenings with the programme shaped by you. Inspired by five themes that reflect Imperial’s spirit of enquiry and innovation - Discovery, Intelligence, Curiosity, Exploration and Earth. Two screenings each day. Free for everyone – and with free popcorn at every showing.

Each day includes:
a daytime screening at 12:30
an evening screening at 17:30

For every screening slot, we’ve selected a shortlist of films. Voting for films is open to everyone, and the winning title in each slot will be screened alongside a selection of good food and drinks, and a great atmosphere! Staying in London over the summer? We have you covered with our summer series covering what’s happening across South Kensington and London. Watch out for our weekly suggestions.

This week we are featuring BBC proms,Summit Photo 2026 and Serpentine’s family day.

From 17th July, the BBC Proms return to the Royal Albert Hall for another spectacular season of world-class music. Tickets are now on sale, while the much-loved tradition of ‘Promming’ means you can also snap up on-the-day tickets from just £8 if you’re feeling spontaneous.

That same weekend, Summit Photo 2026 arrives at the Royal Geographical Society with three days of inspiring talks, workshops and exhibitions exploring how photography and filmmaking can help tackle today’s global challenges.

On 19th July, Serpentine’s free Family Day-brings hands-on creative workshops, performances and activities for all ages, inspired by this year’s Pavilion and exhibitions.
