We did it! Another foam fight done 🫧 Steps to make this event sustainable have been taken over the years. There’s always more we can do together - but we had low waste and excellent donations this year!

Listen up as this is important:

Your outfit matters but your and everyone else’s safety comes first

Your outfit matters but your and everyone else’s safety comes first

You don’t want to be that person scrabbling around in the foamy grass looking for your phone or jewellery or wallet (and neither do we!)… leave it out of the fight

Order a collection from Green Start or head to Fife Council recycling points:
• Spar, Tom Morris Drive
• Double D***s road
• East Sands Leisure Centre
• West Sands

Lend us a hand!! Getting foamy isn’t for everyone, or maybe you’re an empath who feels it’s only right to help the pick up afterwards…. Whatever it is, please reach out!

Get involved in biodiversity at St Andrews!
Join the Biodiversity Working Group in MBS: 103 (Seminar Room 1) to learn about more about the Biodiversity Action Plan and see what actions YOU can take.

Hear from students who have been working on biodiversity, including establishing the rare Aspen tree in Fife!

During the session we’ll go round the North Haugh campus, where we’ll show you some hands-on biodiversity initiatives and monitoring on campus. You may be able to spot some wildlife and even join in a practical session!

The British Heart Foundation pop-up shop returns!

Wednesday 30th September, 11am to 4pm, outside Main Library.

Take a study break and BRING YOUR CASH for BHF’s latest quality donations…

We have raised over £1100 for the BHF through these pop ups - let’s make this one even bigger!

Fingers crossed for a sunny day 🤩☀️🤞

15/09/2026

SAVE FOR LATER - here’s what you can donate to the BHF donation banks across St Andrews:

• Clothes
• Shoes
• Books
• Bags
• DVDs/CDs
• Games and toys
• Homeware

Please do NOT put bedding or glassware in these banks.
➡️ Take glassware directly to a charity shop/St AndReuse/the Eco Hub.
➡️ Bedding is difficult to reuse and recycle, so if you can, hold onto it. Otherwise, bag it and take it to the Recycling Centre or request a collection from the Fife Council website.

Next time, consider ordering Transition University of St Andrews sustainable bedding packs (pre-loved and laundered) that can be returned and reused!
