SPUI Honors Student Leaders in an Evening of Service and Paulinian Excellence

St. Paul University Iloilo celebrated leadership, service, and Paulinian excellence during the Paulinian Student Leadersโ€™ Appreciation Night, held on May 23, 2026, at the historic Casa Real de Iloilo, Iloilo City.

The gathering brought together student leaders from the Paulinian Student Government and the universityโ€™s different college councils for an evening of fellowship, recognition, and gratitude.

Student leaders from the CASE Circle, Paulinian Chamber of Commerce (PAULCEE), Hospitality, Tourism, and Nutrition Council (CHTN Council), Paulinian Nursing Studentsโ€™ Organization (PNSO), and the Pauline Council of Rehabilitation Students (Pauline CORES) joined the celebration, reflecting the unity and shared mission of Paulinian student leadership.

The event recognized the invaluable contributions of student leaders who have shown dedication, integrity, and commitment in serving the student body and strengthening student governance within the university.

Special emphasis was also given to the organizationsโ€™ efforts in advancing sustainability and supporting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through various student-led programs and community-centered projects.

More than a recognition program, the appreciation night served as a celebration of servant leadership and the enduring Paulinian spirit of compassion, excellence, and service.

It highlighted the commitment of young leaders who continue to inspire others through their passion, collaboration, and dedication to making a difference.

The Paulinian Student Leadersโ€™ Appreciation Night stood as a meaningful tribute to the student leaders whose efforts continue to shape a stronger, more empowered, and socially responsive Paulinian community.

PNSO Earns Triple Recognition at Inaugural SPUI Student LEADS Awards

Student-led initiatives promoting sustainability, healthcare advocacy, and community engagement took center stage during the inaugural SPUI Student LEADS Awards held on May 23, 2026 at Casa Real de Iloilo.

The Paulinian Nursing Students' Organization (PNSO) of the College of Nursing received the Innovation and Creativity Award for its student-led initiative โ€œCONTrashion,โ€ which highlighted sustainability through fashion, artistic expression, and environmental advocacy.

The initiative was recognized for its originality and strategic approach in promoting creative solutions to environmental challenges within the Paulinian community.

PNSO also won the Community Impact Award for โ€œTakbo PauliNars: Strides of Hope for Cancer Kids Iloilo,โ€ a healthcare advocacy initiative supporting pediatric cancer patients in Iloilo.

The project was commended for mobilizing resources and extending compassionate service beyond the clinical setting through meaningful community engagement.

โ€œTakbo PauliNarsโ€ further earned the Sustainable Initiative Award for establishing a long-term and repeatable advocacy program dedicated to providing enduring support for children battling cancer.

St. Paul University Iloilo held the inaugural SPUI Student LEADS (Leadership, Excellence, Advocacy, Development, and Sustainability) Awards on May 23, 2026 at Casa Real de Iloilo.

The event gathered student leaders from across the university to recognize impactful and sustainable student-led initiatives.

The SPUI Student LEADS Awards is envisioned as the flagship recognition program of the universityโ€™s Office of Sustainable Development Goals.

It aims to strengthen the institutionโ€™s commitment to holistic formation, ethical leadership, and sustainable development education.

Unlike traditional recognition programs, the awards focused on documented projects, initiatives, and flagship programs implemented by college councils during the assessment period.

Awards were conferred under the categories of Community Impact, Innovation and Creativity, and Sustainable Initiative.

The Paulinian Nursing Studentsโ€™ Organization (PNSO) of the College of Nursing emerged as the biggest winner of the night after receiving all three major awards for its outstanding student-led initiatives.

The ceremony also highlighted the important role of student leaders in advancing service, innovation, and sustainability within the university community.
