On 8 May 2026, the Benilde School of Diplomacy and Governance (SDG), together with other Benilde offices, participated in an exploratory meeting with the๐ฃ๐ต๐ถ๐น๐ถ๐ฝ๐ฝ๐ถ๐ป๐ฒ ๐ฅ๐ฒ๐ฑ ๐๐ฟ๐ผ๐๐ to discuss possible areas of collaboration and shared initiatives. The meeting began with an introduction to the Philippine Red Crossโ mandate and ongoing programs by ๐ด๐. ๐ฑ๐๐๐๐ ๐จ๐๐ ๐จ๐๐๐๐๐๐ (Training Technical Officer) and ๐ด๐. ๐บ๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ช๐๐๐๐๐๐ (Anticipatory Action Volunteer). They shared how the organization continues to work with educational institutions across different levels to promote humanitarian action, disaster preparedness, community resilience, and volunteerism among young people.
For students, partnerships with organizations such as the Philippine Red Cross create valuable opportunities to connect classroom learning with real-world impact. Beyond academics, these collaborations help develop leadership, empathy, social responsibility, and practical skills that prepare students to become more engaged and compassionate changemakers in their communities. As SDG continues to strengthen partnerships with institutions that champion public service and humanitarian work, we remain hopeful about creating more meaningful learning experiences that empower students to make a difference both locally and globally.
