TOTALLY BLIND!🦯🎓

Several schools did not accept her. She continued her education—and now, she has passed the board examination.

Aira Brigola, a totally blind Psychology graduate of Our Lady of Fatima University–Antipolo, successfully passed the September 2026 Psychometricians Licensure Examination, marking a milestone in a journey that began with finding a school that would welcome her.

Before earning her degree, Aira faced rejection from several schools. She eventually entered OLFU Antipolo’s Psychology program, where she continued her studies and completed the academic preparation that would bring her to the licensure examination.

Taking the board examination required an accessible testing arrangement. PRC personnel read the examination questions and answer choices aloud to her, then shaded her selected answers on the answer sheet. The assistance allowed Aira to access the written test and communicate her own answers.

When the results were released on September 23, her name appeared on the list of successful examinees. She joined 14,146 passers nationwide—a milestone earned after completing her degree and taking the professional examination.

Her achievement is both a personal accomplishment and a reminder of why accessibility matters. Students with disabilities deserve opportunities to learn, demonstrate their knowledge and pursue the careers they have worked toward.

Congratulations, Aira! From searching for a school that would accept you to finding your name on the board examination passers’ list—your hard work deserves to be celebrated. 💚

OLFU’s College of Medical Laboratory Science (CMLS) once again proves that excellence is an OLFU tradition. 🧪

In the 𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗠𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝗶𝘀𝘁𝘀 𝗟𝗶𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗘𝘅𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 (𝗠𝗧𝗟𝗘), 𝗢𝗟𝗙𝗨 𝗔𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗽𝗼𝗹𝗼 earned the distinction of 𝗧𝗼𝗽 𝟯 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 with an outstanding 97.56% passing rate, exceeding the 74.63% National Passing Rate (NPR).

All six OLFU campuses likewise surpassed the NPR:
• Laguna – 97.06%
• Pampanga – 90.91%
• Quezon City – 90.00%
• Valenzuela – 83.52%
• Nueva Ecija – 75.00%

All together, OLFU achieved an impressive 87.99% overall passing rate, while first-time takers recorded a 94.00% passing rate which also goes beyond the 85.06% NPR for first-time takers.

This accomplishment represents the 𝟴𝘁𝗵 𝗧𝗼𝗽 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗴𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 earned by CMLS over the last five years—reflecting its enduring commitment to producing competent and compassionate healthcare professionals.
