OLFU College of Pharmacy Conducts Dual Orientation and Wellness Seminars for 1st and 2nd Year Students

ANTIPOLO CITY — The Our Lady of Fatima University (OLFU) College of Pharmacy will hold a joint academic seminar series on September 10, 2026, at the JSB AVR, tailored specifically for first- and second-year Pharmacy students.

The initiative aims to prepare pharmacy students for high-level laboratory coursework while establishing fundamental strategies for academic resilience.

Session 1: 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Foundations of Laboratory Safety
Designed to establish institutional safety standards early in the pharmacy curriculum, this session covers core laboratory protocols, risk mitigation, and proper handling procedures ahead of experimental coursework.

Session 2: 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM
Stress Management and Study Habits Seminar
Theme: “Building Balance: Managing Academic Challenges and Developing Effective Study Practices”
Focused on student well-being and academic adaptation, this workshop provides actionable strategies for managing heavy course loads, preventing burnout, and developing sustainable study techniques.

Attendance is mandatory for all 1st- and 2nd-year Pharmacy students as part of their academic orientation for the term.

Spanning three Saturdays- September 5, 12, and 19, 2026 (10:00 AM PHT via Zoom)—the series features critical insights from pharmacists across Southeast Asia:

Natural Product Research: Perdana Priya Haresmita, MSc (Indonesia)

Drug Delivery Systems: Mohd Hanif Zulfakar, PhD (Malaysia)

Observational Pharmacy Studies: Dan Lester Bacalzo, MS, RPh (Philippines)

Organized in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs 3, 4, 9, and 17), the event aims to elevate pharmaceutical research standards and foster cross-border academic collaboration.

OLFU Antipolo BS Pharmacy Class of 2026 Set to Graduate on August

Our Lady of Fatima University – Antipolo Campus will hold the commencement ceremony for its Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy Class of 2026 on August 10, 2026, at the World Trade Center in Pasay City.

The upcoming ceremony marks the completion of years of intensive academic, laboratory, and clinical training for the graduating batch. Faculty members, university administrators, and families will join the graduates as they transition into the professional healthcare sector.

OLFU College of Pharmacy Holds 4th Annual Tree Planting Activity in Antipolo

The College of Pharmacy of Our Lady of Fatima University (OLFU) successfully conducted its 4th Annual Tree Planting Activity on July 6, 2026, at Sitio San Ysiro, San Jose, Antipolo City.

The initiative brought together faculty and partner organizations in a shared commitment to environmental sustainability and community engagement. This year’s activity was further strengthened by the participation of the Philippine Pharmacists Association (PPhA) Rizal Chapter, highlighting the growing collaboration between academic institutions and professional organizations in promoting ecological responsibility.

Also present during the activity was Josue Felipe, President of the Pharmacy Preceptors Guild of the Philippines (PPGP), whose participation underscored the importance of leadership and advocacy in environmental initiatives.

Through this annual effort, the OLFU College of Pharmacy continues to cultivate not only future healthcare professionals but also environmentally responsible individuals dedicated to making a positive impact beyond the field of pharmacy.
