WORLD MENTAL HEALTH DAY
Your mental health matters, today, and every day.
Behind every mask is a mystery that only they know, and behind every soul is a secret that only they carry. Let this day remind us to be kinder to ourselves and more understanding of others. It is okay to need to slow down, it is okay to take a break, it is okay to ask for help, and it is okay to stop and heal. Sometimes we need not be so strong and sometimes it's not a race or competition to see who can get on with their life the fastest. We don't always have to have all the answers, and we don't always have to do everything on our own.
Let's try to break the stigma around mental health and make others feel safe enough to talk to us about what's going on, let's try to show others that asking for help is a choice that shows great strength, let's end the silence around mental health and bring awareness to what people go through, and let's make sure that seeking help and being vulnerable isn't seen as a bad thing
You matter. Your feelings are valid. Your mental health deserves care.
This World Mental Health Day let us be kinder, more understanding and more compassionate towards each other.
