The Shaiyah Ben Lev Memorial Scholarship has been established in loving memory of Shaiyah Ben Lev, musician and social work student, son of Arlene and Sundance Lev, and brother to Eliezer Lev. Professor Arlene Lev is an alum and part-time faculty member at the School of Social Welfare, and the Founder of the Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity Project.

This scholarship supports MSW students in UAlbany’s School of Social Welfare who are interested in working in the field of substance abuse and are committed to serving LGBTQ individuals, families, and communities.

Your support provides essential financial assistance while honoring Shaiyah on the 10th anniversary of his passing.

This week for wellness Wednesday, we brought some fun into self-care with a little Truth or Dare! We pulled in students, a GA, and even a professor to join in on the fun.

A little laughter, connection, and stepping outside your comfort zone can go a long way. Sometimes self-care is simply taking a moment to pause, have fun, and enjoy the people around you!
