✨ Graduate Spotlight ✨

We’re proud to celebrate Rabita Saleh, a graduate of the Engineering Management program.

As part of her capstone project, Rabita conducted impactful research titled “Jurisdictional Exposure in Grid-Scale Solar Inverter Supply Chains in Texas.” Under the guidance of Dr. R. Britt Freund, Full Professor of Practice and Assistant Dean at the McCombs School of Business, she analyzed vulnerabilities in solar infrastructure and collaborated with stakeholders, including ERCOT.

Her work gained statewide attention and led to an invitation from Senator Charles Schwertner’s office to present before the Texas Senate Committee on Business and Commerce on April 1, 2026, during a hearing on securing critical infrastructure and supply chain integrity. She presented alongside fellow ENM graduate Sumedh Sunil Gosavi, whose research focused on large power transformer supply chains.

The Engineering Management program is a true intersection of business and engineering—bridging the expertise of the McCombs School of Business and the Cockrell School of Engineering to prepare leaders who solve complex, real-world challenges.

Rabita’s accomplishments exemplify the impact of interdisciplinary education on energy resilience, policy, and innovation. Join us in congratulating her on this outstanding achievement!
