🩺 Celebrating PA Week with the NUPA Class of 2028!

What better way to celebrate PA Week than by coming together as a class, building connections, and celebrating the profession they’re preparing to enter!

From community outreach and sharing their passion for healthcare, to a group coffee date, to showing off their school spirit, the Class of 2028 embraced the week with enthusiasm, teamwork, and plenty of smiles!

We’re proud of our students and the sense of community they’re building as they begin their journey toward becoming PAs. Here’s to the future of the profession! ❤️🐾

Happy Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month! While growing in number, Hispanic and Latino/a providers remain underrepresented relative to the broader U.S. population. Check the link in our bio for information on the PA Foundation’s PAs for Latino Health Scholarship!

A group of Northeastern PA students and alumni recently traveled to Guatemala, serving rural and mostly indigenous (Mayan Kaqchikel) communities with limited access to medical care. 🇬🇹

Over 4 days of free clinic, the group saw 272 patients and distributed free medications, multivitamins, oral hygiene products, and feminine hygiene products!

Many thanks to PLM (for transportation, housing, food, clinic arrangements + more), Boston and Guatemalan providers for their assistance, and to our alumni, Marilyn and Allyson (Class of 2025), for coordinating!

Congratulations to the Northeastern University PA Program Class of 2026! This hardworking group of professionals will be terrific caregivers, and we are proud to call them colleagues.

Thank you to the many instructors, preceptors, administrators, and loved ones who made this day possible!

To our alumni, please drop some wisdom for these new PAs in the comments.

The Class of 2027 earned their white coats last week before heading out on rotations soon! As Professor Kimbouris said, some of your greatest teachers will be your patients. We look forward to supporting you through this next step of your education! 🥼🎉

Congratulations to first-year student Sheerin Naimi on her selection for the PAEA Student Health Policy Fellowship!

Sheerin was selected as one of 20 PA student nationally to complete the program designed to develop leadership and advocacy skills. Through this fellowship, Sheerin will learn about advocacy and policy making processes, interact with fellow leaders, and meet with representatives and staff on Capitol Hill. Additionally, she will complete an advocacy project. We can’t wait to see what she accomplishes!

Some didactic and clinical year students enjoyed touring Medtronic in Boston — especially practicing their precision with the surgical robot! Special thanks to Brynne, Pat, and our alumna Karen Shehade for hosting us!

Should the technical glasses become mandatory lab attire for the Class of 2028? Let us know in the comments. 😎
