Grossmont College, located in the heart of beautiful San Diego County, is the nation's leading transfer school to San Diego State University and is one of two colleges that make up the Grossmont-Cuyamaca Community College District. Grossmont College was voted "San Diego's Best" community college in polls conducted by The San Diego Union Tribune newspaper in 2004, 2007, 2008, and 2010. In addition to preparing thousands of students for four-year universities, Grossmont is also home to Grossmont Middle College High School, where high school students can receive both high school and college credit for taking courses on campus.

Some instructional facilities at Grossmont College have served students for over 60 years. The college's facility needs include renovating deteriorating instructional buildings and replacing the aging modular Child Development Center. These classroom and lab projects are included as part of the Measure G facilities bond measure appearing on the Nov. 3 general election ballot.

Now showing at the Hyde Art Gallery: “California Fibers: Tactile Thinking.”

On view until Nov. 12, this exhibit features work from fourteen members of California Fibers and explores how artist express tactile thinking through the medium of textiles.

This election, you'll see Grossmont and Cuyamaca Colleges on your ballot. The Grossmont-Cuyamaca Community College District Board of Trustees has placed the Measure G bond proposal on the Nov. 8 ballot. If approved by voters, funds would be used for repairs and modernization projects at Grossmont and Cuyamaca colleges, including workforce training facilities, classrooms and labs, wildfire protection systems, and major campus infrastructure.

Yesterday, our Grossmont College students and community came together to celebrate Día de Mu***os, honoring the lives and memories of loved ones who have passed. As the culminating event of Latine Heritage Month, the First Year Experience Program celebrated the event with a community altar, music, arts and crafts, food, and more.

This is where the magic begins for Grossmont College’s theatre productions. Students get hands-on experience designing, creating, and building costumes completely from scratch.
