Unpack the Quack, UO’s move-in experience, takes place from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on both Thursday and Friday, September 24 and 25. Students can now select among available 20-minute time slots on either day within their My Housing portal. To help move-in go as smoothly as possible, there are a limited number of time slots per building per day.

For students who are unable to move in on either Thursday or Friday, or who are part of a UO-sponsored program that requires a separate move-in day, the change in arrival request can be submitted within the same section of the My Housing portal.

Introducing Cedar Hall!

We are excited to share an important milestone for University Housing as we continue to enhance the residential experience for our students. Located on the north side of Hayward field, 𝗖𝗲𝗱𝗮𝗿 𝗛𝗮𝗹𝗹, formerly the New Residence Hall, opened in 2023 and is currently home to many of our students.

This announcement comes alongside the naming of an additional residence hall, 𝗠𝗮𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗛𝗮𝗹𝗹, which is currently under construction just south of Kalapuya Ilihi and is scheduled to welcome its first residents in fall 2027.

The names Cedar Hall and Maple Hall reflect a connection to the natural environment and the sense of growth, strength, and community that our residential spaces foster. These halls will continue to serve as places where students build friendships, pursue their academic goals, and create lasting memories.

Our Residence Hall Association (University of Oregon Residence Hall Association) has partnered with DormCo.com to help make your transition to campus as smooth as possible with bedding, bath items, décor, and other necessities.

Maximize your space this year! 🛏️⬆️

Residents in Earl, GSH, Justice Bean, and Kalapuya Ilihi can request bed lofting after move-in through a Fix-It Request. The request form will become available after you’ve moved in, and inventory is limited.

Residents in Unthank, New Residence Hall, and the Living Learning Center can adjust their loftable beds on their own. Let us know if you have any questions! ⬇️

Students who are in an ARC or RC for this coming year have received an email with information about their room selection time slots which will begin next week.

Students who are not in an ARC or RC will receive their room selection time slot emails starting next week and throughout the rest of July, with emails coming about a week before your specific time slot to give you the perfect amount of time to plan ahead with your roommate on your perfect room selection.

➡️ ARC/RC students will select July 6–10
➡️ Group 1 students will select July 13–17
➡️ Group 2 students will select July 20–24
➡️ Group 3 students will select July 27–28

So keep an eye on your UO email for this notification and other reminders throughout the rest of the summer! ☀️
