Help ensure no Duck goes hungry! 🦆

Every Duck deserves the opportunity to succeed, and that starts with having enough to eat. The UO's Student Food Pantry is moving to a new on-campus space in Winter or Spring 2027, with the capacity to serve an anticipated 2,000 students monthly.

We're raising $25,000 through DuckFunder to help stock the new space and make nutritious food more accessible to students who need it. Hundreds of students already access the current pantry each month, and with support from the UO community, we can help reach even more Ducks.

Every gift makes a difference! Help us reach our $25,000 goal by November 17th!

Real estate education is gaining momentum at the University of Oregon. 🏢

With growing student interest, new faculty, and donor support, UO Lundquist College of Business is creating more pathways into real estate careers.

The UO Real Estate Investment Group (UOREIG) has grown from eight students in 2018 to more than 200 members today. Through guest speakers, site tours, and peer-led learning, students are gaining real-world experience and industry connections.

This fall, Mark Apker will join the UO as its first professor of practice in real estate, bringing commercial real estate, law, and corporate leadership experience to the classroom.

Donor support is helping make this growth possible and creating new opportunities for students.

A transformational $125 million grant from Ballmer Group will help the University of Oregon’s Ballmer Institute take its work nationwide.

The grant will support a network of universities training bachelor’s degree-level behavioral health providers, helping grow the workforce and expand access to support for millions of children and families across the country.

“The need for children’s behavioral health support is urgent and is outpacing the current supply,” said Connie Ballmer, co-founder of Ballmer Group. “The University of Oregon is a leader in establishing training programs at the bachelor’s degree level, and I’m proud to help them bring this to universities across the country.”

Disability Pride Month is celebrated every July as a time to acknowledge disability identity, advocate for accessibility, and recognize the diverse experiences that strengthen our communities.

For Sammy Houston, her story is a reminder of the importance of embracing every part of who we are and creating spaces where all individuals are seen, valued, and included.

By listening to and learning from different perspectives, we can continue building more accessible, inclusive communities where everyone has the opportunity to belong and thrive.
