Please join us next Friday, September 11 as we will hold a September 11 Remembrance Ceremony at 8:00AM near the water fountain in front of the Dr. Anthony Mumphrey Center on campus. This year's observance marks the 25th anniversary of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.

In the event of inclement weather, it will take place inside the Dr. Anthony Mumphrey Center. The observance will include brief remarks, a moment of silent prayer and reflection, the lowering of the American flag to half-staff and the playing of "Taps."

All of the LSU Eunice community and the local area are encouraged to attend as we remember and honor the lives lost on September 11, 2001.

Meet some of your future healthcare workforce! Our LSUE Nursing students met today for their "State of the Department" with the LSUE Nursing Faculty. These 180+ students will continue their studies before heading to a healthcare provider near you!

Their journey begins! On Monday, LSU Eunice celebrated the start of a new chapter for our Radiologic Technology students with their annual white coat ceremony. These 30 students will get hands on experience and more over the next two years, culminating with graduation in 2028. Best of luck to these Bengals!

Ready for the new year! Our LSU Eunice campus community assembled this morning for our Fall Semester Convocation to kick off the upcoming semester. In addition to laying the groundwork for the work ahead, we celebrated our recent Professor Tenure promotions and Service Awards. It was our pleasure to welcome back to the Cajun Prairie, LSU System President Dr. Wade Rousse, to help open the new year!

We were honored to begin the new academic year with the Eunice Community Concert Band & Choir as part of our Convocation today. The concert band helped us honor America's 250th anniversary with a few patriotic songs including the Armed Forces Medley. Thanks to the band for entertaining our staff and faculty, and thanks always to all who have served our country!
