Enhancing global health through education, research and innovation. Harris College supports the mission, vision and values of TCU.

Harris College houses Nursing, Communication Sciences and Disorders, Kinesiology, Nurse Anesthesia and Social Work. Graduates are prepared to think and practice as ethical leaders health care and educational settings. Students gain learning experiences in campus laboratories, hospitals, clinics, schools, fitness facilities, and community service agencies. The Dallas-Fort Worth area offers a rich array of clinical practice sites. The on-campus Miller Speech and Hearing Clinic provides services for over 300 families per year and serves as a professional practice site for students majoring in speech pathology and habilitation of the deaf. Our graduates are competent, compassionate, and in demand in the workforce.

Parkinson’s disease is about more than movement. 🧠

During this fall's Zoota Family Leaders in Parkinson's Disease Speaker Series, Dr. Greg Pontone, professor and the Louis and Roberta Fizel Endowed Chair at the University of Florida, shared insights from more than 25 years in the Parkinson’s field, exploring the cognitive, emotional and behavioral symptoms that can accompany the disease.

Endowed funds from the Eleanor and Murray Zoota Endowed Professorship in Neurodegenerative Research were used to support this speaker series.

Can you really dry your hands with just one paper towel? 🧼

Martha Stewart turned to our Don Thushara Galbadage, associate professor in health sciences & public health, for expert insight on how to effectively dry your hands while reducing waste. 🗑️

His advice? Proper hand-drying is essential to preventing the spread of germs, and reducing waste should never be sacrificed in the name of good hygiene.

Dean Bernard Rousseau hosted a Shark Tank-style research presentation event with Dr. Stephen Camarata from Vanderbilt University as the guest shark.
