Giving back, together as Titans!

On Sept. 4, CSUF volunteers gathered for CSUF Day at Second Harvest Food Bank in honor of Hunger Action Month. Volunteers learned about the organization’s mission and worked together to support efforts addressing local food insecurity. Thank you to the students, staff/faculty, and alumni who joined us in making a difference in our community!

Amaiyah Naulls ’26 was recently selected to the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders’ 2026–27 squad as a rookie. As a former Titan, Naulls previously served as a team captain for CSUF’s Division I Pom team and helped lead the program to its first-ever UDA National Championship at the 2025 National Collegiate Dance Team Championship. Thomas Hatch ’91, MPA ’95 was recently appointed interim city manager after the Riverside City Council unanimously approved the move in July. A retired city executive, Hatch previously served as Costa Mesa’s city manager for seven years and has held interim city manager roles in Orange, Santa Fe Springs, Santa Ana, and Placentia.

Sean Joyce ’86, MPA ’93 was appointed by the Irvine City Council to serve as city manager, effective Aug. 10. Joyce brings 35+ years of municipal leadership experience and previously served as Irvine’s city manager from 2005–2018. Since 2018, he has worked as interim city manager for several Southern California cities, including Cypress, South Pasadena, Huntington Beach, San Clemente, and Laguna Beach.
