As a chartered club, it is our mission to provide opportunities for alumni and friends of MSU to gather together to support and promote the university anyway we can. This most commonly takes the form of meeting at a local business or member’s home to watch and cheer on our Spartan Athletic teams. If you are new to South Carolina or the Upstate this is a great way to meet people with similar intere

sts and backgrounds and enjoy the fellowship that comes with rooting for the Spartans. If you are a recent graduate, it is also a great way to network. You might be surprised how many MSU alumni are in the area and hold key positions in local businesses. If you are retiring to the area we could definitely use your experience and knowledge to help us grow and become more productive while at the same time offering the continued ability to support your Alma Mater. Membership in our chapter is open to all who are alumni, friends, or supporters of Michigan State University. If you are interested in joining and would like to help, or just meet fellow Spartans to watch a game, please feel free to contact me or any of the officers to be placed on our e-mail list.

We’re back for basketball season! Join us at Lefty’s West End Tavern in the west end of downtown Greenville as our Spartans take on No. 5 ranked Duke in men’s basketball. Tipoff is Saturday, December 6th at noon.

We will be hosting our game watches for basketball season at Lefty’s this winter — please message us if you have any questions!
