As fans across the globe tune in for the world's biggest soccer tournament, we're taking a moment to celebrate Furman's connection to the World Cup. 🏆
For more than two decades, Furman alumni represented the U.S. Men's National Team in five consecutive FIFA World Cups for which the U.S. qualified, including Clint Dempsey, Ricardo Clark and Walker Zimmerman.
"There's tremendous pride," former head coach Doug Allison said. "They're wearing a U.S. shirt, representing their country, but they're also representing Furman on the biggest stage in the world."
From Stone Stadium and beyond, read more about how Furman Soccer has left its mark on the world's game at the link below. ⚽️

What happens when faculty have the freedom to reimagine how they teach? 💭

At Furman, the May Experience (MayX) gives professors the opportunity to create immersive, hands-on courses that wouldn't be possible during a traditional semester. Whether guiding students through the psychology behind magic, connecting public health concepts to real-world emergency medicine or building community through the culture and craft of barbecue, faculty are finding creative ways to bring learning to life.

The experience allows students to learn alongside passionate mentors, explore new interests and engage with ideas beyond their typical coursework. Read how Furman professors are using MayX to turn curiosity into experience and make learning unforgettable.
