🎃 Happy Pumpkin Week, Saints! 🎃
We had a great time carving and decorating pumpkins and enjoying some delicious pumpkin soup on Monday! We hope you have a fun and safe weekend, and we hope to see you at Barney’s Boo Bash today from 4–8 p.m. in the Main Mall, rain or shine!
🧡 Coming Monday: Día de Mu***os celebration Nov. 2nd at noon.
Join us in the International Student Program office on Monday for sweet bread and an opportunity to learn about Día de Mu***os!
Día de Mu***os is a tradition with deep roots in Mexican culture, though traditions for honoring loved ones who have passed away are found in many cultures around the world. It is a time to remember and celebrate the lives of those we miss. Families may create ofrendas (altars or offerings) with photographs, flowers, food, and meaningful objects to honor their loved ones.
Whether your family celebrates Día de Mu***os, observes another remembrance tradition, or simply holds memories close in your own way, you're welcome here.
We'll have sweet bread to enjoy and an ofrenda in our office, and we'd love for you to help us make it special!
Would you like to include a photo?
You can honor a family member, friend, pet, or anyone who has made a difference in your life. Email a photo to [email protected], and we'll print it for our display. Feel free to include their name or a favorite memory, too. Please let us know if you're comfortable with us displaying the photo in our office.
We look forward to remembering, sharing, and celebrating together. 🧡
