More than ever, the world of business seeks graduates who have a deep understanding of the business environment, but who are also familiar with literature and the arts, have command of the spoken and written word, and have an understanding of science and its impact on industry. Zarb School of Business faculty at Hofstra University believes that the best business education provides students with a

sound knowledge of their field together with insight into other spheres of life. To achieve this end, the Zarb School of Business offers a broad, well-rounded program of study guided by an experienced faculty committed to excellence. Today, numerous Zarb School of Business graduates are leaders of some of the largest corporations in the United States. Zarb School of Business offers day and evening undergraduate and graduate study leading to the Bachelor of Business Administration, Master of Business Administration and Master of Science degrees, as well as minors in business subjects and certificate programs. The following departments make up the Zarb School:

The Zarb School has organized its professional curricula to prepare students for leadership in business and not-for-profit institutions within and outside of the United States. It seeks to provide students with the common body of knowledge in accounting, finance, management, marketing, business law, production, quantitative methods, information systems, human behavior and business policy while encouraging them to explore the legal, ethical, social, economic, political and international implications of business decisions. On May 17, our master's degree students celebrated the culmination of their hard work and achievements at the 2026 Graduate Commencement Ceremony.

We were honored to welcome keynote speaker Sethuraman Panchanathan, PhD, Foundation Chair in Computing and Augmented Intelligence at Arizona State University and former director of the U.S. National Science Foundation, who also received an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters from Hofstra for his contributions to science and technology.

Congrats to our newest Hofstra alums — your future is just beginning! ✨

: Dean Janet Lenaghan, faculty and staff welcomed graduating BBA and Master’s students, along with their family and friends, for a casual yet festive Pre-Commencement Celebration before the big day.

At the event, select students received scholarly cords to wear at commencement, and one lucky graduate was announced as the winner of a new iPhone for completing the student experience survey. 📱✨

Graduates also received a special welcome to the Hofstra alumni community from Senior Vice President for Development and Alumni Affairs Laine Norton, marking the beginning of their next chapter as alumni.

Thanks to all who attended the event and congrats to our graduates and loved ones!

The Zarb School of Business Undergraduate Commencement honored the incredible Class of 2026 as they crossed the stage and began their next chapter.

We were proud to welcome Thasunda Brown Duckett, President & CEO of TIAA, as our keynote speaker. Introduced by Hofstra Board of Trustees member and Zarb graduate Fredrick E. Davis, Duckett inspired graduates to lead with confidence, purpose, and authenticity. Hofstra University also awarded her an honorary degree in recognition of her leadership and impact.
