From shaping the legacy of the Southern University's Dancing Dolls to serving at the helm of Texas Southern University, Danielle Stamper is a force in the HBCU dance community. A 2x captain of the Dancing Dolls, former Nike Yard Runner, and pioneer of the modern viral majorette era, her influence has reached far beyond the yard. As one of the first modern-day majorettes to gain a viral following, Stamper helped bring national attention to the artistry, athleticism, and cultural impact of HBCU dance.

Now serving as the Head Coach of the Motion of the Ocean majorette dance team within the world-renowned Ocean of Soul marching band, Danielle has effortlessly reimagined the program. Under her leadership, the team continues to honor its rich legacy while elevating the precision and performance style fans have admired since its inception in 1969.

Beyond the stage, Danielle is a dedicated educator and advocate with a background in criminal justice and social work. Her experience with the Department of Family and Protective Services informs her commitment to resilience and compassion, values that translate into her teaching philosophy. This spirit of service fuels her entrepreneurial ventures, including the founding of" The Stamped Collection", the launch of "Stamped Cosmetics", and her work as the founder and head coach for the youth all-star dance team, The Regulators.

"Resilience in womanhood, to me, means continuing to lead with purpose and being driven by passion, even when the path is uncertain or difficult. Every challenge in my career has helped shape me into a stronger woman, role model, educator, and creator".

This Women’s History Month, we celebrate Danielle Stamper for her relentless drive to uplift the culture of dance and for empowering the next generation of artists to move boldly in their divine purpose.
