Our chapter participated as a community level sponsor for the 5th Annual Creole Culture Day, presented by Creole Culture and Vues de Culture in support of our international Target 6: Arts Advocacy and Cultural Awareness. Creole Culture Day is an annual one day gathering in October, during Creole Heritage Month, in Grand Coteau, LA rooted in Louisiana Creole traditions. It features food, music, vendors, a traditional boucherie, oral history, French bingo, cooking demonstrations, genealogical lineage tracing, and more. Our chapter members provided voter education and registration to attendees as our sorority is committed to educating the public on the transformative power of their voice and vote!

Our Community sponsors for the 5th Annual Creole Culture Day

African American Heritage Foundation. Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated - Eta Chi Omega Chapter. Champagne's Marché. Arctic Blast Cooling and Heating. James Wilson Photography LLC. FIRE Expressions Performing Arts Conservatory. Harps. Travel Machine. Acadian Elite Services.

Free to the community does not mean free to put on. Insurance, permits, restrooms, tents, waste, the stage, the sound, the bands, the free food. It takes nearly $40k to open those gates for one Saturday, and in five years admission has never cost a dollar. These businesses are why.

When you need what they sell, go see them first and tell them where you saw their name.

We are still taking sponsors and there are only a few spots left before we close the list for print.

None of it happens without our Friends either, the families and individuals who give. Their names are on the wall at the link in our bio. Go read them. email Milton Arceneaux for more information
