What happens when students get a real-world game music brief from a GRAMMY, BAFTA, and D.I.C.E. Award-nominated composer? They rise to the challenge.

MI graduate Cody Matthew Johnson recently hosted a composition contest, challenging students to create an original score for a video game based on a professional-style creative brief. In a later session, Cody returned to provide personalized feedback, giving students a firsthand look at the professional composer experience.

A huge thank you to Cody for sharing his time, expertise, and industry insight. And congratulations to all of the students who stepped up, got creative, and took on the challenge!
