We are a unique campus resource designed to help you gear up for a health professional program. Welcome to the Pre-Health Student Resource Center!

We offer a variety of courses, online workshops, and more to help you get started on your future...today! The Pre-Health Student Resource Center works with pre-health students (students who are not yet enrolled in a health degree program) to support them as they explore, prepare, and apply for a health degree program. The Pre-Health Student Resource Center represents a partnership between the University of Minnesota’s undergraduate colleges and the programs within the University’s Academic Health Center. We design our programs to meet the needs of diverse students preparing for careers in the expanding and changing health fields. Our experienced and helpful staff members are here to support you in each stage of your career development.

Our Demystifying the MCAT Workshop is on Tuesday, Nov. 3 from 3-4pm in room 3-110 at the Health Sciences Education Center.

This workshop is designed to help students learn about strategies to prepare for the MCAT. Attendees will learn about the 4 sections of the exam, study strategies, scoring, and more!

Explore the connection between culture, sustainability and health through AHS 3003: Holistic Health in France, a 4-credit course open to students of all years, including first-year students! 🇫🇷

During spring semester and May session, you’ll learn about sustainable approaches to health before traveling to Montpellier, France, for interactive learning experiences and excursions to local markets, orchards, a national park and more!

The PHSRC is partnering with the U of M Medical School Office of Admissions to offer a series of information sessions focused on different components of building a strong medical school application. The first session is coming up tomorrow, Friday, Oct 2!

These virtual webinar sessions will feature tips from admissions and pre-health advisors and allow for Q&A.

Deadlines are fast approaching for two of our three pre-health global programs this year! AHS 3002: Global Health in Thailand and AHS 3006: The Anatomy of Inequality - Health Disparities in South Africa have program application deadlines this Thursday, October 1!
