❗SAFETY ADVISORY❗

Emergency vehicle response is one of the most common – and most dangerous – tasks fire fighters perform. Apparatus ejections and response crashes claim lives and injure members every year.

The IAFF has issued a safety alert outlining the risks and the steps every operator and crew member should take to reduce them.

Review it. Share it. Stay safe.

✝️HONORING THE LIFE OF FIREFIGHTER KENNETH “KENNY” POLLOCK✝️

💜The hearts of the New Jersey Firefighters PFANJ are incredibly heavy as we stand in solidarity with the Ocean City Firefighters Association , the Ocean City Fire Department, and the family of Firefighter Kenneth “Kenny” Po***ck, who has answered his final alarm following a valiant fight against cancer.

🥒For 19 years, Kenny, known affectionately as "Pickles" by his crew, was the absolute soul of his station. He was the man at the stove, drawing everyone to the kitchen table with either his great food or a contagious laugh that could brighten the darkest of shifts. He was also the heart of his station with the passion, grit, and determination he brought to the job. Kenny tackled his illness with the exact same mindset that defined his career.

👧Yet, beyond the uniform, the dedication to the Ocean City Fire Department, and the endless jokes, his proudest achievement and greatest love was being a devoted father to his daughter, Jordyn. Please join us in keeping Jordyn, the entire Po***ck family, and our International Association of Fire Fighters brothers and sisters of Local 4032 in your hearts as they navigate this immense loss.
