The brothers of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. Eta Zeta Lambda Chapter have been hard at work empowering our communities through voter registration, education and civic engagement.
In just the past month, we’ve registered nearly 250 voters! 💪🏾🤙🏾
📍 Lincoln High School | Yonkers
Students learned about voting rights, civic participation, with those ages 16 and 17 given the opportunity to pre-register and eligible students 18 and older registered ahead of the November 3 election.
📍 Spring Valley High School | Rockland
Brothers and educators connected with students throughout the day, spreading the word about voter registration and making their voices heard.
📍 Mercy University | Westchester
Brothers engaged more than 100 students, encouraging them to get informed and shape their future.
📍 Larkin Plaza | Yonkers
We took our efforts directly to the community, helping residents register and prepare to make their voices heard.
Special thanks to LWV of the Rivertowns, Yonkers Public Schools and RoseAnne Collins-Judon for partnering with us in this important work 🙌🏾
But we’re not done yet! Join us TOMORROW, Oct. 24 for Party at the Polls Mt. Vernon! We’re bringing music, food and fellowship to The Wave Bar & Lounge. Come connect, take a short walk to Mount Vernon City Hall to VOTE EARLY, and come back to show off that “I Voted” sticker 🗳️✅
We’re making participation a celebration. A Voteless People is a Hopeless People 🤙🏾
