Our next Faculty Feature is Dr. Wendy Suzuki, the Seryl Kushner Dean of NYU's College of Arts & Science, the first Asian American to serve as Dean of CAS, and a professor of neural science and psychology. https://linktr.ee/nyuartsandsciencealumni

Throughout her career, she has combined a deep commitment to scientific discovery with a passion for helping students understand how learning, experience, and everyday behavior can shape the brain and our lives. An internationally recognized neuroscientist and leading voice on brain health and plasticity, Wendy’s research has explored the effects of physical activity and other forms of experience on learning, memory, mood, and cognition.

As Dean, Wendy is equally passionate about the transformative power of a liberal arts education and about creating opportunities for CAS students to connect what they are learning with the people they are becoming. Her career at NYU reflects a continuing belief in the possibility of growth—of brains, individuals, and institutions.

Our latest Alumni Feature is Dr. Rahoul Masrani (LS, CAS ʼ04). For Rahoul, New York University represents both where his global journey began and where his work as an educator thrives today. Rahoul’s international academic path started as an undergraduate student studying abroad at NYU Florence during the 2000–2001 academic year. That formative experience sparked a lifelong connection to Italy, ultimately drawing him back to live in Florence in 2019 and to join the NYU Florence faculty as a global lecturer in 2022.

His research explores the intersection of technology, power, and pedagogy, touching on topics as diverse as urban cinema and global cities, as well as digital sociology and artificial intelligence in higher education.
