This past week, our lab plastic pick-up collected 57.34 pounds of lab plastics! 🎉

These plastics will be sent to First Star and transformed into plastic lumber, giving materials a second life instead of sending them to the landfill. 🌎

Acceptable Plastics Include:
🧪 Empty pipette tip boxes
🫧 Small Styrofoam pieces
♻️ Clear plastic wrap, plastic overwrap, bubble wrap, and foam peanuts

Larger Styrofoam pieces can be dropped off in Room 250 in Criss III/III

♻️ Swap instead of shop! Stop by the Clothing Swap on Friday, October 30, from 11 AM–2 PM to drop off clothing and give pre-loved pieces a new home.

👻 Donate your costume! The IRHG Creighton Closet accepts costumes, giving your spooky looks a chance to be loved again.

✨ A little reuse goes a long way! Keeping costumes and clothing in circulation helps reduce textile waste and makes sustainability part of your Halloween tradition.

✈️🌍 Jordan White

Meet Jordan White, a rising senior majoring in Business Analytics who is passionate about promoting sustainability and making a lasting impact! 🌱

Through the Global Scholars Program, Jordan has studied abroad in Italy, India, the Dominican Republic, and Togo, gaining new perspectives on sustainability, community, and global connection.

Jordan believes sustainability is about building habits and creating a lifestyle that is sustainable for the long term. From staying curious and asking questions to unplugging and being present in the moment, he reminds us that small, intentional choices can make a big difference. ♻️

Celebrate with us for the Blessing of the Bike Repair Station!

If you're a cyclist on campus, this station is a wonderful resource, helping students keep their bikes rolling while supporting a more sustainable way to get around campus. 🌱🚴‍♀️
