Fr. Kevin Mullen, O.F.M., Ph.D., will present Select Franciscan Themes in Magnifica Humanitas – On the Protection of the Human Person in the Age of Artificial Intelligence, Pope Leo XIV

Fr. Kevin Mullen, O.F.M., Ph.D. is a Franciscan friar from Our Lady of Guadalupe Province who from 2007-2014 served as the 10th President of Siena University. He served as the 16th Provincial Minister of the Franciscan Friars of the Holy Name Province from 2014 - 2023 returning to Siena in 2023 to serve at the Guardian of the St. Bernardine of Siena Friary. Fr. Kevin currently serves on the Siena University Board of Trustees and is also an adjunct professor. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from Siena University, a Master of Divinity from Washington Theological Union and a Doctorate in Moral Theology from Catholic University of America.

Everyone starting the MTS-FT, no matter their background, takes Following Francis as their first class.

What does the tradition of Francis of Assisi, Clare of Assisi, and those who continue to follow in their footsteps offer our world today?

This interdisciplinary course introduces major Franciscan figures, sources of the Franciscan tradition, and significant interpreters of this tradition to establish the foundation that is developed throughout the MTS-FT program.
