💙 Thunderwolves Thursday 🐺

This week, we’re honoring a true SUNY Niagara legend—Roy E. Sommer.

Did you know? Roy was one of the college’s original professors and served SUNY Niagara for more than three decades. He was also our first Athletic Director and helped build Thunderwolves athletics from the ground up—creating opportunities for both men’s and women’s teams.

From coaching basketball, bowling, and golf to leading teams to championships, Roy’s passion helped shape the proud tradition our student-athletes carry forward today.

🏌️‍♂️ It’s only fitting that we continue his legacy through the Roy E. Sommer Memorial Scholarship Golf Scramble, raising support for future Thunderwolves.

🎗️ National PTSD Awareness Month
✊🏾 Juneteenth (June 19th)

Each observance highlights unique histories, experiences, challenges, and achievements that have helped shape our communities and country.

This month, take time to learn, listen, support, celebrate, and uplift one another. Different stories. Different journeys. One shared humanity.

NATIONAL CHAMPIONS! 🏆

Huge congratulations to Coach Matt Clingersmith and the Thunderwolves baseball team on capturing the NJCAA Div III National Championship.

Coach Clingersmith has built a national powerhouse at SUNY Niagara, and tonight the team and our entire college community reap the rewards of that dedication.

FOR THE FIRST TIME IN PROGRAM HISTORY, SUNY Niagara has won the NJCAA Div. III World Series!!! 55-6 overall record!
