Meet the inaugural graduating cohort of SMU’s Master of Arts in Arts and Nonprofit Leadership (ANPL) program! 🎓

Lora Clack: “I’ve gained the freedom to pursue a new career path that combines my passion for social impact, creativity and leadership to create meaningful change on a larger and broader scale.”

Allison Heishman: “The ANPL master’s program has given me a new perspective on my work in nonprofit theatre, helping me see it as a connected ecosystem where the art, the audience, the messaging and the funding all inform one another.”

Sheridan Skurupey: “I have absolutely enjoyed my time in the ANPL program. The program has been incredibly well-rounded, and each professor has added so much value.”

Tonya Wilson: “One of the biggest things I realized during the program is my passion for helping small to mid-sized arts organizations grow and thrive.”

Kate Walker: “What I found was not only a deeper understanding of nonprofit leadership and strategy, but also meaningful friendships, renewed confidence and excitement about the possibilities ahead.”

Shoutout to Magriet Cordero ’28 for her marketing internship this summer with the City of Dallas Office of Arts and Culture! 🎉 Magriet is majoring in Advertising and Film & Media Arts at Meadows and is one of our talented students in this year's cohort of the SMU Meadows Intern Fellowship Program.

A round of applause for Vidhi Jadeja ’28 for interning this summer at the Nasher Sculpture Center as part of the SMU Meadows Intern Fellowship Program! 👏 As an External Affairs Intern, Vidhi has the exciting opportunity to learn about marketing and public relations within a local Dallas cultural institution.

Vidhi is a talented SMU Meadows undergraduate student pursuing a B.F.A. in Studio Art, B.A. in Economics, and B.A. in Markets and Culture. This summer, she'll acquire knowledge and insight by writing press releases, proofreading and editing marketing materials, managing public relations data, assisting with event coordination, and creating social media content.

Congratulations to 2026 graduates Grace Williams (Journalism and Fashion Media) and Molly Medeiros (Corporate Communication and Public Affairs, who have been selected for the inaugural U.S. Chamber of Commerce New Fight for Free Enterprise Fellowship in Washington, D.C. 👏

Chosen through a highly competitive process, Grace and Molly will join a select cohort of emerging communications professionals, gaining hands-on experience in storytelling, policy communication, and advocacy while working alongside industry leaders at one of the nation’s leading business organizations.

SMU Meadows was one of only two schools in the country invited to partner with the U.S. Chamber on this new initiative. We can't wait to see the impact these talented graduates make!

Congratulations to Adam Carley ’27 on his summer internship with the Dallas Film Society, Dallas International Film Festival! (DIFF) 🎬

Adam is majoring in Film and Media Arts at Meadows and joins this internship as part of the SMU Meadows Intern Fellowship Program. As the Special Events and Programs Assistant, Adam will spend this summer going behind the scenes of Dallas’s premier film organization and gaining hands-on experience across every aspect of nonprofit arts management and operations.

From festival programming and event production to marketing, fundraising, and community engagement, this will be an awesome experience for Adam! ✨

We're so proud of Madelyn Fields ’27 for her internship this summer with the City of Dallas Office of Arts and Culture! 🎉 Madelyn is part of this year's cohort of students in the SMU Meadows Intern Fellowship Program and is pursuing her B.M. in Music Education and Viola Performance.

She will be working for the city this summer as a Cultural Center Programming Intern, assisting with program coordination, participant engagement, and administrative support, gaining hands-on experience in youth-focused programming, community engagement, and public service. This will be an amazing experience — congratulations, Madelyn! 🙌
