Great leaders don't just lead. They coach, encourage, and empower others to succeed!

Our local credit union chapter recently had the pleasure of welcoming Andrew Carroll for an engaging session on “Leading Through Coaching.”

Together, credit union professionals explored how a coaching approach to leadership can develop talent, inspire accountability, strengthen workplace culture, and bring out the best in their teams.

A special thank-you to the Cornerstone Foundation for making this valuable learning opportunity possible, and to Andrew for sharing practical insights we can put to work in our credit unions.

When we invest in stronger leaders, we strengthen the entire credit union movement! 💙

to last year’s Central Texas Chapter of Credit Unions Golf Tournament! ⛳

We just uncovered a great batch of photos from last November, and they were too good not to share. Sunshine, friendly competition, credit union people doing what credit union people do best, and a whole lot of support for a wonderful cause.

Last year’s tournament was a reminder of what makes this chapter so special: connection, community, and a shared commitment to making a difference — especially for the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals

And yes, we’re already looking forward to doing it again this November 9 at Wildflower Country Club in Temple!

Big news for the Central Texas Chapter of Credit Unions! 🎉

Last week, representatives from our Chapter accepted the Chapter of the Year Award for Group 2 at IMPACT 2026: Cornerstone Annual Meeting in Oklahoma City.

We were honored to be recognized alongside credit union leaders from Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, and Texas as we gathered to celebrate the people, chapters, and credit unions helping move the credit union movement forward.

And that wasn’t the only exciting moment. Our Chapter also received an advocacy award for raising the highest percentage of our fundraising goal for the TCCUL PAC.

These awards belong to every volunteer, credit union professional, supporter, and friend of the Chapter who shows up, gives back, and believes in the power of people helping people.

We’re proud. We’re grateful. And we’re just getting started.

Last night, we gathered for our final Central Texas Chapter meeting of 2025. Where did this year go?!

☑️ Celebrated the season with great food
☑️ Received an update from PAC on their recent conversation with U.S. Representative Pete Sessions and our 2025 fundraising efforts
☑️ Learned more about TruStage (thank you for sponsoring the evening!)
☑️ Heard inspiring updates from our local Children’s Miracle Network hospital, BSW McLane Children's Hospital
☑️ Proudly presented a check for $24,987.75 representing the funds raised at this year’s golf tournament

The nominating committee reported that the current slate of officers were ready and willing to serve another year. With no additional nominations from the floor, we officially elected our 2026 Chapter Officers. Congratulations to JoBetsy, Shelli, Celeste, and Don — we’re excited for what’s ahead under your continued leadership!

And then, to top it all off, we wrapped up the service project we kicked off in September. Our goal was to assemble 100 activity bags for children waiting to see their doctors. Last night… we packed 400. FOUR HUNDRED! 💙 Central Texas credit unions truly show up when it matters.

The annual golf tournament is a massive lift, and we can’t thank the incredible team at Texell Credit Union enough for making this year’s event such a successful fundraiser for Children’s Miracle Network at BSW McLane Children’s Hospital. This is what collaboration and community impact truly look like. ⛳💚
