What a busy and exciting week welcoming our students back to campus! 🎉

Last Friday, we enjoyed meeting our incoming students at the College of Agriculture BGR Carnival. Then on Thursday, we welcomed both new and returning students at our annual HLA Welcome Back Dinner.

We're excited to see what this semester has in store and can't wait to support our students as they learn, grow, and succeed.

Has your garden or farm been affected by flooding?

After floodwaters recede, food safety should be your top priority. Floodwater can carry pathogens such as E. coli and Listeria, along with chemical contaminants and other pollutants. Produce that has come into direct contact with floodwaters may not be safe to eat. Some crops that develop after the flood, however, may still be harvested safely.

Before harvesting flood-affected produce, learn what should be discarded, what may be salvaged, and how to protect yourself during cleanup.
