Four Bachelor in Human Services students; Catherine Jean Tabugo BHUMSERV 3A, Bealin Fullona BHUMSERV 2A, Venice Jade Ebalan BHUMSERV 2A, and Rave Marianne Villagracia BHUMSERV 2A, participated yesterday, June 11, 2026 in Project SENSE, an advocacy initiative under the Mindset Program organized by the Mindshift Initiative and Youth First Initiative Philippines Inc., with the theme โ€œSeeing Experiences, Not Just Symptoms.โ€

The activity aimed to promote mental health wellness by raising awareness about schizophrenia, challenging misconceptions, reducing stigma, and encouraging a more compassionate and understanding community response.

Through this initiative, participants also learned about available mental health support services such as the PRIME Hotline, Mental Wellness programs, and local Barangay Health Centers, emphasizing the importance of accessible care and support for individuals and families. ๐Ÿ’™

Last May 7, 2026, HUMSOC proudly joined โ€œKabataang Ilonggo: Magapadayon sa Kadalag-an sang Iloiloโ€ held at the District 21 Hotel together with several youth and community organizations across Iloilo.

The summit became a space for young leaders and organizations such as the Kabataan sa Kartilya ng Katipunan, Iloilo City Federated Peer Support Group, Proyekto Volunteers Network, CAMELEON Association Inc., Junior Chamber International Regatta, and Greenpeace Philippines โ€“ Iloilo Volunteers to share advocacies, strengthen collaboration, and promote meaningful community engagement. HUMSOC proudly represented its commitment to service, youth empowerment, and community involvement as a student organization.

We would also like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Homeless People's Federation Philippines, Inc. Youth Iloilo Chapter, Iloilo City Local Housing Office, and their partners for giving HUMSOC the opportunity to be part of this meaningful event.

This significant academic milestone reflects their dedication, hard-work, perseverance, and commitment to making meaningful contributions in the field of Human Services and Mental Health.
