Congratulations to Bachelor of Performing Arts (BPEA) 4A student, Rhea Kyla Dionisio, for being accepted as a Writing Fellow in the Virgin Labfest XXI Writing Fellowship Program, scheduled from June 16 to 28, 2026.

Organized by the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP), the two-week mentorship program focuses on the development of dramatic writing for the stage through lectures, discussions, and workshops on playwriting and script critiquing led by various practitioners in the field.

The selected writing fellows will also gain exclusive access to the VLF XXI: HUBO’T HUBAD productions and participate in talkbacks and discussions with featured playwrights and directors throughout the festival as part of the fellowship program.

The Communiqué clinches 8th straight GGP Overall Best Performing Student Publication 🏆

The Communiqué, the official student publication of the College of Arts and Letters (CAL), continues its dominance after securing its eighth consecutive Overall Best Performing Student Publication award at the 8th Gawad Galing Plaridel held on May 13 at the E-Library Amphitheater.

With this year’s theme, “Defying Suppression: Campus Journalism as the Fourth Estate in the Face of Distortion and Censorship,” GGP emphasized the vital role of campus journalism in upholding truth and press freedom amid growing concerns over censorship and the challenges confronting student publications.

The Department of Communication and Performing Arts (DCPA) extends its warmest congratulations to The Communiqué and all participating student journalists for their dedication and commitment in achieving this remarkable milestone.

Kaisa ang Department of Communication and Performing Arts (DCPA) sa paggunita ng Araw ng mga Manggagawa kung saan libo-libong mga Pilipino ang patuloy na lumalaban nang patas para maitaguyod ang kanilang mga pamilya sa likod ng mga krisis, at hindi patas na oportunidad at sistema.
