Our Parma Physical Therapist Assistant students recently enjoyed their annual aquatics field trip at the University Hospitals North Royalton YMCA!

They explored how the unique properties of water can be used to support strengthening, stretching, balance training, and even cognitive activities. They also got to experience aquatic yoga and witnessed a live demonstration of Watsu, a form of aquatic bodywork, performed on one of their own classmates. 🌊

We want to send a huge thank you to Lauren Napoli, Senior PTA, Certified Aquatics Professional (AEA, ATRI), for once again welcoming our students and sharing her incredible expertise! As one of our treasured clinical instructors, Lauren brings classroom learning to life in the most hands-on way possible.

Opportunities like this remind us why experiential learning is so powerful. Our students left with a deeper appreciation for the versatility and therapeutic benefits of aquatic therapy!

✨ Alumni Spotlight: Jerry Young 🔧⚡
Jerry didn't just come to B&SC to earn a degree, but also because electronics had always intrigued him. He said, "I've always been fascinated by electronics and how they work and operate.”

What he found in our Electronic Technology program was something that matched that curiosity: hands-on labs where real learning happens. His most vivid memory? Spending an entire class wrestling with PLC code, then finally cracking it, and sharing the solution in his own way because, "No one does it the same.”

Today, Jerry credits troubleshooting as the skill that defines his career. "It's not always about what you know, it's about what you can find out."
