A quieter kind of supermoon ๐ŸŒ™

This monthโ€™s lunar event was a Super New Moon, meaning the Moon reached one of its closest points to Earth while remaining nearly invisible in the night sky. While there wasnโ€™t a bright moonrise to spot, the darker skies created ideal conditions for stargazing and viewing deep-sky objects.

If you stepped outside away from city lights, you may have noticed more stars visible than usual โœจ

Fun fact
Even during a Super New Moon, the Moon is still physically closer to Earth than average โ€” but its gravitational effects on Earth are often misunderstood and are much subtler than many people think.

Sometimes the quietest skies reveal the most.
