Settling in to the new semester? Lingua: The Linguistics Circle is having its first social of the semester next week we'd love for you to join us. Come meet people in the department and learn about what Lingua has to offer in a relaxed setting. Light snacks and refreshments will be provided. Bringing a snack to share is also encouraged but not required.

Exciting news about alumna Dr. Katie Welch (PhD Linguistics, 2009). She starts on Monday as the Executive Director of Literacy Texas, the statewide literacy coalition that supports adult and family literacy programs. An excellent match. Congratulations, Katie!
